Booking Policies

Thanks for booking with Banks & Braes - we look forward to having you!  We just want to share a few thoughts to help your visit be as delightful as it should be:

 

  • There are no full-time restaurants (at present), grocery stores, or gas stations in Rosebud, so plan accordingly!  Community members will work hard not to leave you stranded, but unless you’re coming for the dinner theatre or on an occasion when meals are available elsewhere, your best bet is to come with a full belly and a full tank! See the "Eats" tab on our website for a list of recommended restaurants in our area.

  • Each room is equipped with a basket of extra pillows and blankets, and (hopefully) everything else you might need.  You are welcome to explore the drawers and cupboards in your room to find games and toys, hot water bottle or fan, reading material, and more.  Make yourself at home! We also have a large collection of board games and a puzzles in the drawing room that you are welcome to use – feel free to set up in the public parts of the house or your suite!

  • We prefer outdoor shoes to be removed in the house, so if you’d like, you can bring indoor shoes or slippers to wear inside.

  • Groups of guests will be seated at separate tables for breakfast. A full breakfast will be served between 8 and 11 am.  Please let us know what time you’d like to eat by email or when you check in.

  • There aren’t always things going on in town, but when there are, they’re fantastic!  Feel free to check out Rosebud.ca for suggestions of what to do in the area. We’re also compiling a list of recommended local attractions – until it’s posted, ask us for suggestions, or follow us on social media to see what's up!

  • The easiest way to find us is by entering our name or address into Google Maps, but if you prefer landmarks and are coming from the south, we’re the first right after the bridge.  From the north, we’re straight east of the four-way stop – turn left into our driveway after the road curves to the south.

  • While we’ve been working toward this business for many years, we’re still new at running it.  Please feel free to ask questions or offer feedback if you have ideas on how to make visits even better.

Cancellation Policies

 

Cancellations must be arranged through our administrators.  Please email banksandbraesrosebud@gmail.com to request a cancellation.

 

If a cancellation is made 21 days or more ahead of your stay date, your payment will be refunded minus a 5% administration fee, OR your booking can be rescheduled for another date before November 1 of that calendar year for no fee (subject to availability).

 

If a cancellation is made within 21 days of your booked stay, we will attempt to rebook your room(s).  If we are successful, your payment will be refunded minus a 5% administration fee. If we are unable to find a replacement booking, you will still be charged for the booking.

 

There are no refunds for early departures on single-night bookings.  On multi-night bookings, cancellation for additional nights must occur before 11 am on the day of departure. In this case, normal fees will apply (i.e. full charge if no replacement can be found).
